Best Place To Buy A 300D?

Thu Dec 02, 2004 3:26 am

Hi all, I would like to know where's the best place to buy a Canon 300D kit ? I've seen it for €990 (US $1316 with today's rate from http://www.oanda.com)
in France with a 18-55 lens and a cf256 memory card, just some € cheaper than Belgium... What about your local prices ?
Thanks in advance.

I think it's cheapest in the US. Here in Lebanon, no CF card, just the body with the 18-55 lens is $1350! Quite expensive.

The body and the kit lens is around 950 Euros ( 1265 USD ) in Austria.

The question is, where to get at 1DmkII for the price of a 300D?  Big grin

In a place that sells 1D MkIIs for the price of a 300D. Duh!  Big grin

I've gathered that people prefer the American prices, so you should consider stores like B&H and Adorama.

www.parkscameras.co.uk are selling the 300D with lens for £499.99.

This price includes a £100 cash-back from Canon and also a free 256Mb card from Canon.

Available until 31/01/05

Almost a bargain at that price!

Hi Jean-Francois.

Just received a local magazine in my town in the Netherlands. Price 999,-- Euro (included the 18-55-mm lens and a 256 Mb Cf-card) You get 100,-- back from Canon so it will cost you 899 Euros.
Be carefull with Online shops in other countries. If your local customs think it's a valuable package, it will be opened under supervision and you have to pay the importduties.

Hope it helps

Thank you very much to you all for your replies and help. By the way, how does the €100 cash back work ? Is it valid internationally ?

Thanks again.
