To Black, Or Not To Black

Fri Dec 03, 2004 9:11 am

Guys,

Let's just say that I can possibly get the 300D in the silver or black edition for the same price. Which would you go for? Consider the fact that I will most like have a [gray] Canon 'L' lens in a month or so.

Silver is classy, black is professional.

IMHO, I would go with black simply because I like the look of the black body better.

Don't be a poser, go with gray.

I'm not so concerned with the "color"... I'm more concerned with how others can justify one over the other. Big grin

I had a silver 300D, and Royal would make me stand at least 10 feet away from him at press events. Now that I have a black Canon DSLR (20D), he is not embarrassed to be seen with my camera.

lol @ Bronko!

Colour doesn't really matter, but since you have the choice, I'd say go for black. I think it looks better, especially with a grey Canon lens.

hey, maybe I was drunk on the night of the elections, and maybe my candidate didn't win, so maybe in my drunkenness I decided to be defiant and symbolic  Big thumbs up

Aesthetic considerations aside, black is better as minor scratches and paint loss will be less visible than on the silver version which is just a coating on top of the original plastic colour.
