Sport Mode For Aviation Photography?

I've never tried it. Does it work for freezing the action on takeoffs and landings? What are the pros and cons?

I've used it for all my LAS shots, they turned out pretty good, I personally am not very proud of them due to the lack of color and things like that, but that was my very first time using my Digital Rebel for spotting, since then things have gotten better and I no longer use that mode because I go full manual.

Of course you can use it... if light is difficult or changing all the time ( clouds, etc... ) it's quite helpful, but be aware as it will automatically switch to a higher ISO, so shots may get a bit grainy if conditions are not perfect! But it will freeze the action, for sure  Big grin

Downside is it defaults to ISO400, upside on the 300D it is the only 'official' way to get this camera to work in AI Servo mode.

I have used it .. not much but yes it does work. You can almost stop the props of a Dash 8 if you want to Big grin
