Ryan International Cockpit Photos

Tue Dec 14, 2004 12:46 pm

Im on Ryan Intl. flight 906 from dfw to cozemel next monday. I beleive it is a 738. i searched the database and could not find many interior pics and there were no cockpit photos. Should i take photos and try to post them on the sight? in the past i had some pics but they were not that good but no i have a better camera... anyone know if they let you into the cockpit before or after the flight or is it against reg?

thanks for input

If Continental had a hub at DFW with nonstop flights I would always fly them, unfortunantely good things take time.

Watch out man! Those Ryan flight attendants and pilots are the CIA guarding the president when it comes to photos onboard. I flew a Ryan Intl A320 operating for FL back when FL had them doing MCO-ATL-LAX or ATL-LAS runs. I flew just the MCO-ATL and back later that day on Ryan and BOTH times, I got yelled at for taking pictures... OUT OF A WINDOW... AT 33,000 FEET! I'm been told to stop on takeoffs or landing but at 33,000 feet??????? NEVER have I had that problem before. I don't understand them. On top of that, they were mean S.O.B.'s. Hope you have a halfway decent flight.

COAMiG29,

I'd tell a FA while you're boarding that you're interested in taking a look at the cockpit and if they could pass that request up to the pilots. Sometimes airlines will let you duck into the cockpit while boarding otherwise you can get up there when you land. When in doubt about photos...ask. I've talked to a Ryan Air Intl. pilot that was really excited about aviation photography and had even done some photography from the cockpit.
