Two Strange Rejection Reasons?!?

Wed Dec 15, 2004 8:13 pm

Hi all,
maybe some screener, or the one who screened my photos this morning could
explain those rejections to me.

This one was rejected as badinfo

This is the corresponding upload info:

All my overviews or approach shots have been added with that kind of information, i think. Am i overlooking something? Any help is appreciated.

I agree, it is a just CRJ, but i hope it isn´t badmotive just for that  Smile/happy/getting dizzy
Also, i would be happy about any advice.

Thanks,

Denis

Denis,

Regarding your CRJ, I don't anything wrong with it motive wise, and the woman is even fully clothed  Wink/being sarcastic But it is a little dark in the bottom half - maybe that's the reason?

I hope you can get it in, I really like the composition.

Cheers

For the airport overview, I'm presuming the "Unknown" was for the airline field. If so, this should always be a single hypen: -
(The same for aircraft and aircraft_generic)

The category "AIRPORT" is partly correct, because no part of the aircraft it was taken from is visible. Though I would have uploaded it as "AIRPORT,DARK".
It shouldn't be "AIRPORT,WINDOW_VIEW" or "AIRPORT,COCKPIT" because no part of the aircraft that it was taken from is visible.

With these two small changes, the info would be 100% correct  Smile

Because the sun is setting... it's one of those photos where it's hard to decide if it should go in the dark category or not  Big grin

Well that's what it looks like in the image anyway, and that's what matters  Smile

Tom,

Can you shed any light on why the CRJ was rejected? I looked at it and couldn't work out what made it badmotiv.

I seriously doubt that people clicking the Night/dusk/dawn category is expecting shots made in broad daylight like this one.

Re. the CRJ - I haven't got a clue really.. maybe it's the person in the doorway? You'd have to get the view of a screener  Smile

Nice shot though  Big thumbs up

Denis

I agree with some of the other comments concerning the CRJ photo - I really like the composition. Although, on the basis of some of my rejections, I am surprised that you didn't get a badcameraangle, as it seems to me the horizon isn't level.

I would argue there should be a place in a high quality database such as this for more 'artistic' images, as the use of the wide angle here really works in my opinion (also helps the cloudscape). Plus I like the low light levels. Good photo.  Big thumbs up

Might be the person in the shot .
Im not too sure but i think they are very strict on this issue now .
(regarding people in shots )
They have to be relevant to the picture.

Might be the person in the shot

Could also be the steps even though they are part of the aircraft? This view is not favored generally although some similar have been accepted if rare and old. Please do not go and look through the database and add examples here of those that have made it through the system as I am only offering a possible answer to your question. I did not personally reject this one but I am offering an explanation as to why it was rejected. People as already mentioned above are not in favor and the steps are quite intrusive on the overall shot.

As you can see by these shots they are much cleaner looking and the aircraft is the main subject rather than stairs and a lady?
