Need Help With A Rejection!

Thu Dec 30, 2004 11:37 am

Hey guys,

I was just getting ready to go to bed, when I found that this shot had been rejected. I took it on Monday at BWI...must have been the highlight of the day and I was determined to get it into the DB. However, it was rejected for "baddark". I can understand that the background is rather dark, but in my opinion it makes the shot quite dramatic. The aircraft, which is really the focus of the shot, is very well lit, so I don't really see what the problem is.
I appealed the rejection anyway.....hopefully Johan will see my side of things. Does any of you have an opinion/advice towards this matter? Smile/happy/getting dizzy

Never tell your girlfriend about all the 'action' you're getting at the airport - only photogs understand that.

The shot is very underexposed, causing a lack of detail in the shadow areas. Try adjusting the curves to bring out some of the details in the lower part of the aircraft.
