Thank You To The Screeners :-)

Fri Jan 07, 2005 10:15 am

I just want to thank the screeners of airliners.net for accepting my latest photos. After two years of investing in cameras and improving the quality of my photos, it is finally beginning to pay off. Below you will see my latest photo.

I will keep improving the quality of my photos and upload them here. Hopefully I will belong in the list of well known aircraft photographers who I really admire for their work done. Names that come to my mind are Sam Chui, Wietse de Graaf, Tim de Groot, Craig Murray and Frank Schaeffer (who sadly passed away). These photographers are the kings among kings of aviation photography. Your work is really admired and gives me inspiration to keep going as well.

I learn from the photos of all other photographers here, so I can improve my photographing skills. Once again, thank you to the screeners and photographers who set the standards for aviation photography. Also thanks to all other aviation websites out there who give all us photographers the opportunity to show our photos to enthusiasts around the world. Looking forward to more aircraft photos...  Smile/happy/getting dizzy

Most are still here. In regards to Frank,

Though he might be physically gone I know that I am still amazed by his photos and that they leave a ever lasting mark on my photographing skills. He truly is a great photographer,

Thanks again,

Can't help but notice 3 of the above mentioned are/were Sydney based and the other two, Amsterdam based (I think)

Being Sydney based myself, and having been to Amsterdam - I can say they they're both very accessible airports. This also leads to a huge number of photos from both Sydney and Amsterdam....

Makes me wonder?......

Anyone know any particularly difficult-to-photograph-from airports that are home to consistently good Airliners.net photographers?
Respected users.... If my replies are useful, then by all means...

How about JFK? From what I've heard, very difficult there due to the police, yet home to some great photographers, especially Art Brett.

Less than 10% of my uploads are from Sydney and everytrip abroad I find access or new spot..does that meet on your requirements?  Smile/happy/getting dizzy

Colin Work was brilliant - wish he'd come back. There's always the temptation to think all you need is AMS or MAN for great photographs, but Colin could go anywhere and find a way to make the subject interesting.

Cheers

After hearing all those horror stories with the cops in the USA I do not think getting this results at LGA is that easy:

And even though Madrid has some easy spots, getting shots like these require some effort:

P.S: We've stolen this thread, but I like the opportunity to point to other people's shots. Beware plugmasters!!!  Big grin

The photographers I mentioned were just a few of all the great photographers here. The photos I enjoy most to see are the ones taken at Miami, Los Angeles, New York, St. Maarten, Rio de Janeiro, Sao Paolo, Santiago de Chile, Bogota, Caracas, Istanbul, London Heathrow, Amsterdam, Hong Kong, Osaka Kansai, Sydney and all airport overview shots. Just to name a few of my favorite airports  Wink/being sarcastic
