Took the FZ-20 out today, as planned. Weather was dry but lighting was constantly changing leading me to make quite a few shots with the wrong exposure (good job its digital, eh?). Very windy making hand holding at 12x a bit tricky. My position relative to the sun and aircraft wasn't favourable either, especially when it is so low at this time of year. Quite a few shots from the shady side which won't be suitable for here.
Got home, stuck the card in the PC
and wasn't overly impressed with the results, didn't really spot any a.net 'winners'. Feeling a bit disappointed, I started working on the images anyway and I'm now feeling a lot better, the photos are brushing up quite well. The camera seems to capture quite a bit of detail, but it doesn't really come out until after you've processed the images. I'm really happy with those shots where the lighting and aircraft are in the right positions.
Don't panic yet, Thom@s. I think with the right skies and the right shooting position, this camera will be a winner.
