AMS Saturday (29/1)

Thu Jan 27, 2005 2:59 am

Sorry I know there is already an AMS topic but as it's going out of date today, I thought I'd make a new one

Will be over in AMS for the day on Saturday and just wondered if any locals would be around the airport and fancied meeting up at some point. Have a hire car booked and will probably head to Kaagbaan first and then on from there.

Would be nice to see anyone if they are around.

Let me know either here or by email through my profile.

Michael.

Thanks for the replies - hope to see some of you about!

AMS is only about 150 miles (in a straight flying line) from where I live in the UK, so not too dissimilar weather to what we've had this week - i.e. freezing! I'll try not to forget my gloves and hat like I did at LGW last Sunday  Insane

Hi Maurice - would be nice to catch up with you again if you are there. Will be at the Kaagbaan first and then likely the Polderbaan later.

I gave up on weather forecasts a while ago Nick! Last time we came to AMS, it was predicted to be rainy and horrible and ended up being one of the nicest days I've ever seen - went home sunburnt! Though we are in winter now, and not August  Wink/being sarcastic

Only there for the day Nick, but should be back there soon Big grin

Will be alongside 06/24 by about 10am I guess (once the car is picked up and drive there - though that's one runway I CAN get to without much difficulty - I'm trying to remember how to drive to the Polderbaan!)

Hi Nick - OK I'll look out for you. I can email you my mobile number if you want, so you can SMS/call if you can't find us - or you can just look for Maurice!

I'll be wearing a light(ish) grey jacket with grey fleece underneath and blue jeans and have a Canon 10D and 70-200L lens

Hope to see you both (and anyone else) there!

Michael.

I think you'll probably be quite easy to find Nick!! We should be around Kaagbaan for a few hours after getting the car.

Sorry to hear you can't come Kas. I hope you have a good day at work anyway!
