Anything I Can Do To This To Make It NOT Badmotiv?

Fri Jan 28, 2005 12:51 am

Hey gang, I am trying to get my first night shot in and this is the best opportunity I have had to get one and it was rejected for badmotiv. Is there anything I can do to it or is it a lost cause? It's a Skywest EMB 120 arriving at KMOD.

Danny,

The short answer is No, other than appealing it to Johan.

We tend to only allow shots like this when they are more of an airport overview.

However, its a nice shot and a nice result.

As an airplane picture, it really isn't up to standards, because you really can't see much or any of the plane, and only a few lights from the airport are visible. As just a photograph, though, I love it. It looks almost like a comet. Definitely one to keep in the personal collection.  Smile

I assume that was with a longer shutter speed? What were your settings? That is absolutely amazing!

Yes, it was a longer speed, I had the camera set to bulb and had a remote attached, aperature was F11, I would guess the shutter was anywhere from 10-20 seconds. I don't have the EXIF right now. I focused on the runway end lights, switched to manual focus, and then waited until the plane got into view and let er go! Thanks for the comments.  Smile
