I just had my first few photos accepted here on a.net in the last couple of days, but I'm not extremely happy about the quality of these pics as opposed to how they look on my hard drive. It just seems as though their is a lot of grain in the pics now that was not their before. I have saved them all as jpeg files at level 12. Here is one example:

I know that saving as jpeg files can cause pics to lose compression each time you open them, edit them, etc. So basically, since I am quite new to this photo editing and saving thing, I just would like some advice on how to save and submit my photos in order to not lose any quality. I have also tried to save as tiff files, but the pics looked like crap when I did so. Was I not saving them right, or is this how they are supposed to look when saved as tiff files? Also how do you convert a tiff file to jpeg when submitting to a.net?
I would really like to resubmit my pics with a little better quality, but I need to know exactly how to go about it first. Like I said, I'm quite new to all of this so please be patient with me and thanks in advance for any help!
