Spotting Help Wanted For ARN

Tue Mar 01, 2005 5:08 pm

It's my first time in Sweden and around Arlanda Airport obviously. I need opinions as to where I should go shoot. I won't have a car either. It would be great if someone could give me a walking route from the Airport itself to where I can shoot from. Also, when is the best time to catch the best birds?
Anyway, I'll be there on Mar. 20 (hopefully hangover free after a night on Sodermalm). If someone doesn't mind meeting me out there, that would be great as well. Thanks! I'll owe you big time!

just drop me a line if you're interested.

Södermalm eh, that's my neighborhood =) Hope you have fun. I will check if I'm free on the 20th, otherwise I'm sure there's someone else out there. There is a bus you can take to some of the locations, but a car is easiest for the remote runways.

check out www.ewenson.net I think he has a good ARN spotting guide up.
what seems to be the officer, problem?

BTW sundays are pretty good, you'll get Thai 744, MAS 777, two SAS 330s, and some other 330s, mytravel or novair maybe. Thats about it for heavies though. Some A300/310s aswell maybe. BA 767 also i believe.

Maybe I'll be out that day, if there's nice weather that is.

The sunrise is around 6.30 am, and sunset around 5 pm. The lightning around those hours is just awesome.

Maybe we'll meet
