Spotting In SIN

Fri Mar 18, 2005 2:37 pm

Hi folks

I am wondering if somebody could give some good advises for some good spotting in Singapore without using a car or a Singapore spotting webpage.

I will arrive in Singapore on 27th March and I will stay there till 30th March. Perhaps it is possible to meet some A.netters from Singapore.

Thank you in advance for your advices.

Stefan

Terminal one has a viewing deck that has a great view of one of the runways, views of some gates and a taxi way that runs to the other side of the airport.

They turn the lights off behind this glass and it is at an angle so not to get any glare.

The viewing gallery/mall in terminal 1 is you best choice.

2 years ago I took a taxi to a great perimeter spot (Changi coast road, along 02C/20C), but it seems you get sent away by the police pretty quickly nowadays. I think I'd try it again next time I'm there though.

If the perimeter fails, you can always go back to the viewing mall.
Cheers,
Eduard

I've been their for a spotting trip. Chanyi village is my favourite spot beside the deck at T1. You may hire a taxi to reach their. Having a local people with you is a great idea though.  Smile
