2 Rejection Questions

Fri Apr 01, 2005 7:53 am

Hey all,  wave

I have 2 questions (as you may have already read)

First off is this shot:

http://www.airliners.net/addphotos/r...s/big/HV_737_PH-HZL_24-03-05kj.jpg

It was rejected for badinfo only. Below is the list of what I put in as info:

Amsterdam - Schiphol (AMS / EHAM)
Netherlands, March 24, 2005
Transavia Airlines
Boeing 737-8K2
Boeing 737-800 (BBJ2/C-40)
Reg: PH-HZA
Code:
Cn: 28373/51

After some thinking I thought it might be this: I assumed the aircraft is from Transavia after reading the registration.

But since the plane itself is white with no titles, should I have put in "untitled (Transavia Airlines)" instead of only "Transavia Airlines"? Can anyone confirm this?

Then for the 2nd shot:

http://www.airliners.net/addphotos/r.../big/NCA_742_JA8192_27-03-05kj.jpg

This was rejected for baddouble only. But I just searched the DB and I found out I don't have a photo of this one in the DB (yet).

Also, after reading all the threads about baddouble a while ago, I came to the conclusion it meant this:

"1 photographer who submitted 2 or more photos of the same aircraft in almost the same angle, with the photos taken on tyhe same day". Is this correct?

I currently also have this picture (of this aircraft) in the queue:

http://www.airliners.net/addphotos/b.../NCA_742_JA8192_27-03-05kj--12.jpg

Shot on the same day, both by me, same aircraft- But you can hardly say these 2 angles are very alike, right? 1 photo is a bit of a close-up and the other isn't. Can anyone help me out here aswell?  Smile

Thanks,

Kas

Hi Kas,

Both of these are issues I have recently been discussing.

First shot - I am confident that the issue here is the untitled aircraft. If it's white it should be uploaded as "Untitled (then the airline here)".

Second - I think the issue is that the screener knew you had the other photo in the queue and they deemed that they were double. Now don't get me going on this one, as I could be here all night Big grin. But unfortunately for you they have interpreted the rule in such a way that they clearly do not see these 2 photos as sufficiently different. Not much more you can say on that, as this is a rather subjective rule in my opinion.

Hope this helps.

Hey Paul,

Thanks for your reply. I'll re-upload the first one with tyhe correct info.

I won't get you started on the baddouble (because you need some sleep aswell:D)

I agree. I'm sure I've seen other photos that were less different in view (which should've been baddouble IMHO), but I guess it's just tough luck.
Ah well... Not the end of the world... (yet  crossfingers   box  )  Wink

1: You got the registration wrong! On the plane it says PH-HZL, and you wrote PH-HZA above.

2: No idea, sorry! Big grin

Good luck,

Sebastian
I guess that's what happens in the end, you start thinking about the beginning.

The glare near the nose is fairly fatal with the Nippon frieghter shot. Sad

OMG, NOOOOOOOO. You're right!!!!! Damn...... How can I be THAT stupid (save the comments pls Big grin ). Thanks Sebastian, I totally missed it..!

I guess I have to pay attention to 2 things so far... I'll just wait until tomorrow before re-uploading, so other mistakes can be pointed out Silly

But it doesn't warrant a "baddouble" rejection(?).

The first one should be "Untitled" as Airline and dont forget to tick the category which is suitable for an all white paint. (Hint: Its described in the Help text on the 2nd upload page which is the suitable one).
