Tue Apr 12, 2005 12:28 am

Hi

Myself and Spencer Wilmot will be in New York for 4 days from saturday 16th April.

Will be spotting for most of those 4 days JFK etc....

Wondering if any of you guys fancy meeting up at your local (pub or airport!) for some spotting / drinking (The latter in the evening downtown!).

Ive heard the U.S hospitality is great!!! will soon find out.

Although I wish I could make it, I will be in Indianapolis that weekend. As far as the weather, this is the best place to find out. Just click on the map in the area you will be and you will get the most accurate forecast around.

Have you also heard of Phil's "Imperial Dock"?

Ryan, like we discussed on MSN, there's a possibilty of now two locals hooking up with us, and fingers crossed, after this post we'll have few more. I can't wait, it's been a while since we travelled together, especially Stateside. Remember to take it easy on the alcomahol this time! (Good old Cathay)!

i just managed to secure my first saturday off in maybe 2 years. i'm dying to go out to JFK for some heavy metal. if you email me ryan i'll give you my cell number so that we can get in touch... maybe i'll be able to go out for some spotting action. depends solely on what my wife has in store for me on that day. also, i was supposed to go to DCA with a few of the ladies from work that day, not sure if that is going to happen though.

Ryan,

I may be around on Saturday. Tentative plans are to meet another spotter up at White Plains, so if you want some variety, you are free to join me. I can also take you to see the Constellation at Greenwood Lake if you wanted to.

Email me via A.net if you want to meet up.

If I don't go to White Plains, I'll probably be around LGA/JFK.

Pity you're only in town 4 days. There's a mini NBAA show at Farmingdale on Thursday.

Better point out to those who've replied, we wont be doing anything until the Sunday anyway, due to the late arrival into Kennedy on Saturday evening. Mike's kindly offered his services as nominated driver, (and believe me Mike, we gonna take serious advantage of that!!) bouncy  Anyway, to pinch a line from Top Gun, "It must be close, I'm getting.......excited"!!!!! UAL 744 powaaah baby!

Haha, love the shot of you guys!

It is nice to see such an elite group of people brought together through our passion for aviation photography. I can't wait to see some of the results!

I hope I can have similar (great) hospitality when I do manage to get my arse over to JFK.

Cheers,

On Sunday had the guys out shooting from 630am to 730pm so there should be plenty of results to show. I won't upload any of them anytime soon, I'll let the guests have first crack when they get back and settled.

If I'm available the weekend you come (let us know), I'd be more than happy to do the same for you.

Mike,

It definitely won't be anytime too soon (ECON drive  Sad), but I will not hesitate to ask in the future.  Smile

I love that second pic too, reminds me of the LHR days where everyone automatically previews their shots! Nice work.

Hey, Phil, how come you did not arrange this kind of weather in advance when we came?!  Big grin

I am green with envy, but I must say Phil was a wonderful host the day my friend Ander and me were at LGA, even though the airport was nearly closed during the morning. And I even managed to get one shot accepted!!
