Sobs Selling A 70-200 F/4L

Mon May 23, 2005 7:28 am

I've had to come to the tough decision of selling my 70-200f/4L for £350. I think its a fair price for an excellent lense... its served me well over the years... Does anyone have any tips for selling lenses? I've never sold camera gear before (apart from my point and shoot)

I had to sell... if any one would like to purchase you are more than welcome to...  Smile

Considering people can get a brand new one at 7dayshop for £399, I think £350 is a bit on the steep side.

I picked up a new 70-200 F/4L on ebay a couple of weeks ago for £370 cash on collection.

Has any consideration been given to a Classifieds section on a.net.
I thought any form of advert was banned so I won't mention that I have a Canon fit Bigma 50-500 and Sigma 24-70 f 2.8 DG EX aspherical for sale (UK only)
The equipment most of us use is pretty specialised so where better to sell it ?

.....So how comes you've listed your lens on e-bay with only the buy it now option set at £350? Surely it would be better to put a reserve of say £200 and see how high people bid.....
