Badquality Rejection Help Needed

Dear all,

This got rejected for badquality:

Anything I can do to fix it? Grateful for advice.

see the purple fringe along the lower part of the nose. Thats the reason.
Oh and there's dirt above the nose also or is it a bird?

What exactly causes those purple fringes peter?
I have gotten them before and wondering what causes them any help would be appreciated

"From an optical point of view, chromatic aberrations are caused by the camera lens not focusing different wavelengths of light onto the exact same focal plane (the focal length for different wavelengths is different) and/or by the lens magnifying different wavelenghts differently. These types of chromatic aberration are referred to as "Longitudinal Chromatic Aberration" and "Lateral Chromatic Aberration" respectively and can occur concurrently. The amount of chromatic aberration depends on the dispersion of the glass."


CA in a nutshell is poor optical design.

Hey jeff thanks for the info i cant say im getting these purple fringes at the moment with the 70-200 i was getting them with my tamron 80-210 lens it was starting to get annoying so i got rid of it thanks again.
Always pays to spend a little more and get better optics
