First public viewing of this new color scheme. What detail! Decorated in the Canada flag colors on the tail section followed by a commemorative yearly marking 2005 under the ladder celebrating the province of Alberta's 100th birthday. In Edmonton escorting the Queen of England on her royal visit to Alberta.

Now that's a sharp looking tail. Hopefully I will be able to catch it this summer at YXU, as we are expecting a "mini-airshow" with an F-18 display, in lieu of the main airshow which was cancelled.

You know the gear is up and locked when it takes full throttle to taxi to the terminal.

Hey how are you able to release more information on this? Is it on the 26th also? Will it only be F-18's? I'm more then interested to hear all about it. Please.

Well I know there is a free airshow at CYFD on August 31st the Wednesday before the Labour day airshow at the CNE. We usually get at least one F-18, sometimes 2 and we have always had a special tail, for the last 3 years anyway so maybe this bird will make an appearance then? Although it is probable that our F-18s would come from Quebec since its closer. I'm also interested in any info on a mini YXU airshow, that is certainly news to me.

If you take another look at the website. There is a mini airshow on the Saturday only, for free. I guess it's similar to the Brantford one. http://londonairshow.com/

Jason,

Sorry for not getting back to you sooner on that, but it looks like you have found the info.

It'll be nice to see an F-18 at our normally quiet airport, but unfortunately no C5s or KC-10s this year  .

As with any other year, Kirk Webber has the most amazing pictures in the world of this aircraft. It is certainly amazing.
