Anyone Was Spotting In SYD June12th?

Mon Jun 13, 2005 5:06 pm

Hi there,
was anybody of you spotting in SYD on Saturday June 12th?
Was just curious because I saw lots of people at the parking- and BBQ place close to the airport and at the little "beach".

You'll find a few of the regulars from this forum at the beach. Pretty good spot for spotting. I haven't been there in a while actually. Mainly because I never had a ladder tall enough to look over the wire fence. Might change this week though.
You'll find that if you speak to someone with a camera, they'll be very friendly.
I'll be at the mound tomorrow morning if you want to drop by. I think JumboJim will also be there.

I wasn't there, but there's a good chance someone was. Even if there were no spotters, the Beach is a popular hangout for 'non-spotters' too. Not sure why... it's not the nicest of beaches. Maybe they also like watching all the 'jumbo jets' go by. Silly

I was there most of the day on the 12th while on holiday in Sydney for the weekend, but the 12th was actually a Sunday. I spent the morning at the tower mound and the afternoon on the observation deck at the international terminal. I would have gone to the beach but I did not have access to a car. My best 8 from 211 photos that day are currently in the screening queue.  Smile
