Help To Identify This Aircraft (contrail Shot)

Sun Jun 19, 2005 5:20 am

Hi everyone,

Today I made a pretty cool contrail shot, but I can't really see what airline/aircraft this is. Any idea's?

Any chance this one will be accepted on a.net?

Thanks!

Steven.

Looks like an Emirates 777-200. Nice photo.

The red line coming down gives it away. It is most definitely an EK 777. You can also just make out a little of the green on the tail and gold letters on the front.

Beat me to it, TS. That was going to be my guess. No, seriously! Big grin

I'm not a screener, so I can't say if it'll get accepted or not, but you have a dust spot in the bottom center and one in the top center, slightly to the right of the bottom one.
Oh no, she's getting impatient! Take a stab at it!

Hi Steven..

I agree with Thomas.

About the pic I did some Photoshop and the photo has some dust spots ( Is a camera with the possibility to change lens and have dirt in the sensor?
I would center lowering the plane a bit as well.

Nice photo in deed..

Good luck if you decide to upload it.

Steven..

The original with Photoshop, before saving the pic, is more illustrative.
The normal technique is to use the tool 'equalize' and spots grow up like mushrooms...

Thanks for the tip!

Is it normal for a DSLR to have dustspots?
I mean I just bought my Canon 20D last week and have only changed the lens twice.

I'd say there's no DSLR without spots...( and sometimes the sensor comes from the shop with them! )

The clone tool is amazing, believe me....

Cheers

20D is notorious for dust spots coming from factory assembly. You can clean it yourself but a camera store would do it properly for about $40
