To All Spotters In Europe

Tue Jul 05, 2005 3:18 pm

Hello Ladies and Gentlemen,

I know you guys here in Europe have seen loads of loads of LH 737s and you dont like to photograph them anymore, because they are nothing special for you anymore.
But I would like to ask you guys to take pictures of LH 737s and upload them!
I would like to see more pictures of me doing an approach or landing in my LH 737!  Big grin

Tell me, when you land or depart in ZRH and I'll try my best. Otherwise, just shooting LH 737's just out of fun ..... no way!  Wink

Many happy landings

Drop a line if you ever fly to MAD!

javier guerrero

P.S: I've just prepared a kind of spotting guide to MAD for some visitors, I can send it as an e-mail to anyone who is interested, just contact me through my profile or my pictures.

P.S. 2: I'd like somebody taking pictures of my performance as well!!  Smile

Hey there is a new thing, like Naval aviators reviewing their traps on videos, we could have pilots reviewing the performance of their landings by looking at A.net photos!!

.. Johan, a whole new market, maybe Airline managements would pay for the service!!!  Smile

Regards

Chris

PS can't help you with photos but if we didn't shoot 737s at SYD we wouldn't shoot much at all!
If your camera sends text messages, that could explain why your photos are rubbish!

Shouldn't you keep the wings level on short final???  Silly

I don't know if Lufthansa has a No Smoking policy, but if it does, you just flaunted it!  Big grin  Wink

Let's make a deal. You get me on the jumpseat, and I'll take some shots of you landing from a different angle! Are you game for that?

Bring your 737 to Newcastle, it'll make a change from those poxy CRJ's!

Like I said, I'll be at FRA this Thursday which is the 7th. If you care to tell me where you're flying in from I'd be happy to take photos of your approach since that would narrow it down to a couple of 737's at least.

LOL! Have I ever!

Memories of my flight instructor shouting "Peddle your bike" and sticking in a boot full of rudder to try and get me out of the habit of raising a dropped wing with aileron on short final. Boy it worked! Same technique in a 737?

hi Sean,

Quoting Sean377 (Reply 16):
Same technique in a 737?

Well, you dont use the rudder during approach, just on short final, during crosswind to align the aircraft with the centerline and after touchdown to keep it there  Wink

But during approach only aileron and elevator, no rudder (as long as you dont have an engine failure)  Wink

@ WILCO737

If you fly in and out of MUC, just drop me an email with ETA, aircraft-reg and origin/destination, and with more than 95% probability I'll be able to get out onto the ramp to shoot you in action!  Smile A few hours notice in advance is enough.

Looking forward to seeing you in MUC any time soon.

Hi Wilco737, I should be at LHR on the 16th as long as the good old british weather holds out. I am quite partial to good cockpit close up, probably get Badmotiv though. Any idea of flight times.

Hi MrK25,

DUS-LHR on 16th as LH4772 arriving LHR at 11:10 am  Wink

And an hour later back to DUS (11:50am)

I guess London weather will be bad as usual....

Even if the picture would be badmotive for A.net, for me would it be great if you could send it to me anyways! I like having pictures of me in the aircraft!

I worked as Ramp Agent and Loadmaster for 6 months at FRA airport as well until I got into the cockpit! But I was lucky enough to have only 250 hours on piston and turboprop aircraft to get onto the 737!
I konw some guys wonder about the only 250 hours, but that is the way LH flight training does it... The training and then straight onto 737/320/300...

That's true! (I interviewed him for school, LOL)

(But we ended up spotting the whole day  Big grin , not that it wasn't fun though  Smile . Btw, that Volvo was really sweet!! Do we still have a pic of it?  Silly )

1st: you interviewed me and then some days later you had to do it via MSN again, because you LOST the paper where you have written everything on it  spin
2nd: yes I still have a photo of the Volvo... it was a nice car, and BRANDNEW  checkmark

We should repeat that in FRA or AMS, was a nice day!

Phil , just don't look out your window while landing to look for a photographer.

Drop me a mail when you are flying LH's 744's in about 10-12 years and I'll catch your LH572 arrival in JNB  thumbsup   Wink
