Any Chance For This Shot?

Sat Jul 09, 2005 3:08 am

Hi everyone. I was going through some really old photos on CD and came across photos from a trip I took a year ago and shot pics with my old Kodak P&S camera. After some editing, this is what I came up with:

What do you all think of this shot? Any chance for it? I really love the composure of the shot and the angle but I never had much luck with A.net and that camera. Thank goodness I'm gotten a 300D and 100-400L IS since.  Smile

Hi Justin,

I would say this makes an interesting photo and would stand a good chance, with a couple of changes.

I noticed these issues that I think would improve its chances:

* It looks as though the 'levels' could do with adjusting, as it looks a bit grey. I reckon if you check out the levels histogram you can make it look quite a lot better, improving the contrast.

* I would also say that it looks like it would benefit from a degree or so of CCW rotation, as that horizon at the top right looks like it is sloping a bit.

I would be very happy to look at the original and send you back an edit if you are interested.

Good luck with it.
