Any Chance Of Saving These Rejections

Wed Jul 27, 2005 12:38 am

Hi

Had these 2 rejected for Badblury, I have tried some extra USM but then I get jaggies along the wing edges, is there a way of sharpening the nose without adding it to the wing?

Persevere or bin them?

Any help would be appreciated

Ian

First one, persevere, use this sharpening technique:

And all at once the crowd begins to sing: Sometimes the hardest thing and the right thing are the same

Use higher shutterspeeds next time.

I really like what you have tried to achieve here, Ian. It looks like you have almost nailed that Malaysian shot.

I presume you must need a seriously fast shutter speed to get such shots completely sharp. Have you tried the sharpening tool? (looks like a triangle) - easy to apply selective sharpening to specific aspects of the image. But I wonder whether, in these examples, you are going to be stumped because there is actual blur (however slight) in the originals.

A really good attempt though.

All the best.

Hi all

Thanks Eric I will give it a try

Tim

I had the camera set to F8 in AV mode, The camera selected 1/320 for the Malaysian & 1/500 for the Virgin, obviously too slow for what I was trying to achieve

Paul

Thanks for your comments, maybe it has too much blur to correct, but will play around with it for a while.

Cheers

Ian
