Motive, Fear Of Rejection!

Mon Aug 08, 2005 11:27 am

Hi all,

I think this fear of rejection thing is getting to us!!

I was thinking of uploading this shot of the "Aussie sparring partners"--

http://www.pbase.com/chrisg/image/47359207

is the runway sign likely to kill the motiv?

Maybe I will just go with this one--

Very grainy and, at least to me, the colors seem very off.

Take care,

Matt

Matt,

Thanks, grain is caused a little bit by the compression used to save bandwidth and I use Breezebrowser to do this and just noticed the colour settings and saturation settings in it's proofing utility were off... will fix those things before (If) I upload

regards

Chris

Not everyone has a "fear" of rejection. They are just photos of planes after all....as to the photos....I don't think it is just the sign that is your problem...the two tails just don't mix right when you can only see part of the second one.

To my eye no. 2 works better as a composition, and not just because it lacks the runway sign obstruction.

Thanks guys,

Jeff, the fear comment was a tad tongue in cheek, If I never get another photo accepted here or by any other site it will not make my life poorer, nor will it diminish the fun I have taking them!!

As you say they are just photos of planes!!!

Regards

Chris just download it and see what happens.....

FWIW i just cannot work out the screening anyway , a complete mystery!!!!

I reworked a load of rejected badcontrast/oversharped rejections a week ago.. There was a batch of 14. Reuploaded in a 10 batch and a 4 batch.... Out of the 10 , 7 were added (cool once again im happy with my screening). Then out of the 2nd batch of 4 only 1 was added !!!! Even though they are the same quality ????

To make matters worse those 3 extra rejections kicked my % from 62% to 58%. So bye bye 10 uploadslots as well !!!!!! (complete bummer) !!!!!  Sad
