If you live around Derbyshire, Chad is an short way of saying Chaddesden which is a place in Derby. I suppose you would like it there Dom!

The Photo is wonderful, the sky looks absolutely beautiful!

We have a place up here called Chadderton, but it's also known as "Chaverton" by many people. Let's hope people don't take it the wrong way and nickname you the same huh  Wink

That's a very nice shot btw.

A Tophatter no less - my brother's old squadron. Very, very nice shot. Does the Navy place any restrictions on photography while onboard ship?

LOL!

The good folks of Chaddesden in Derby also appear to have had a similar moniker applied... Chavesden.

Chad, Lovely shots dude... you are very fortunate to have such great photo opportunities dude... keep up the good work!

WOW! All the compliments mean a lot to me, thank you very much. cheerful

I was in the right place at the right time, which is 3/4 the battle. I was having trouble getting the sunset in the background for the other aircraft. This one, VFA-14's CAG bird no less, was waved off, putting the aircraft in exactly the right position. Everything came together perfectly and then I snapped the photo. I dont think I could have asked a setup as good as that.

Again thank you all! This really made my day. Big grin
