Wed Sep 14, 2005 12:29 am

Yep. He is taking a little time off due to health. Due to the amount of hours he puts into Airliners.net (thus being on his computer for a heck of a long time), he has been suffering from strain on his shoulders and back. He'll be back soon, everybody needs a break once in a while.

I thought those shots would be screened by Mr. Watt (Headscreeners)?

Either way, we're in no particular hurry... Hope Johan gets well soon.

I appealed a shot about 5 days ago, and it was screened within 20 minutes.

Get well soon Johan! The site is continuing to run without you, but we are not seeing that many new features. The features can wait, but everything is running smoothly, so don't rush back until you are ready!

That's what I though aswell, I've had a shot in the queue for nearly a month now.

Assuming I have read the above correctly, my understanding is that Gary and the other Head Screeners now deal with the appeals that people make for their rejections. But screeners continue to refer photos to Johan himself that they believe are 'contentious' in some way or other, and require the "Boss's" final decision (such as where it is unclear to the screeners whether a photo displays characteristics potentially outside the rules of the site - balloons with bare-bottomed women on the side might have been an example of this).

Hi all

Only Johan manages this queue and once stuff is in there it can take some time to process.

Screeners pass stuff to Johan as a last resort. It is something that is not used a lot but again, they can stay there for a while.

I'll contact Johan to see if something can be done.

Regards

Gary

I hope everything is ok, it has been over a month now.

I for one wouldn't mind having a headscreener take a look at my appeal. It is just a simple catagory misunderstanding.

Johan, get well soon!!  fever

The Head Screeners do look after the appeal queue. Johan's queue is one step above that.

Regards

Gary
