TU-144 And Concorde Pics - Suitable For ANet?

Wed Sep 14, 2005 6:15 pm

Dear all,

in June I took the opportunity to spend a nice summer day (rarely seen this year  Yeah sure ) to visit the "Auto & Technik Museum Sinsheim" which displays (among other great aircrafts) a Concorde and a TU-144.
Of course I took multiple photos of which the following were - at least for me - the most interesting:

http://img.villagephotos.com/p/2005-...-BVFB_Concorde_Sinsheim_2306_4.jpg

I would like to get these pics in the db, but as these are not my usual XFW-A319/A321-rotation-touchdown photos I am not sure whether they are too artistic or lacking in quality...

So, in short: What would you say - possible ANet' material or not? Thanks in advance!

That third shot is thoughtfully composed - I like it. The lighting's great in all of them.

Fabian,

I love the third one... Try it with that... but it could need a little rotation cw (me thinks)

Thank you all,

I have to say that the third one is also my personal favorite... Weather was really good to us that day  Wink

@ Tobi,

you could be right regarding the cw-rotation. I took the white "thingy" that runs along the pylon up to the front wheels as a reference, but I agree that it looks as if the main pylons are leaning to the left...

Thanks for your opinions! Anyone else?

I'm sorry to have to say this, but from all the time I've been on a.net I've never seem photos like these accepted.. While the lighing and composure seems ok, there's too much in the way.. from the pillars holding them up or stairs or whatever, I have to say that while nice pictures, I doubt they'd be accepted..

I'd go for the 3rd shot as well! It's a very nice composition. To get it through screening it would probably need about 0,5 - 1 degree CW rotation.

Airlinelover though could be right about the acceptance of it....I got a similar picture rejected on Badmotive.

Have a look at the third pic in following thread:
http://www.airliners.net/discussions...ation_photography/read.main/198490

Who knows, perhaps you have more luck...just try, the shot is worth it in my opinion  Wink

Hi all,
thank you very much for your opinions - very much appreciated!

Chris and Jeroen,
you both could be right about the possible rejection for badmotive. Nonetheless, I think I will rotate the third one and give it a try - only way to find out, I guess?!  Wink

If it is accepted, then I'm one happy camper, if it is rejected then I won't loose sleep over it and just add it to my personal collection...

Again, thank you all very much for your opinions!

Best Regards,
Fabian/PositiveClimb Big grin

P.S.: Jeroen, a shame that your photos were rejected. The third one in the thread you posted is a real killer - at least for me. Great shot!

Hi Fabian,

yes, you should for sure give it a try! I hope to see at least the no.3 back in the database some day.

About the thread I posted: the first two pictures I wasn't sure whether they would make it myself either. I thought the third one would make it for sure though....how wrong I proved to be  Wink
A.Net sets it's own standards and that's what we have to live with.

Good luck uploading yours!

Kind Regards,

Jeroen Hribar
