Quick Question About Scanning

Thu Oct 06, 2005 8:58 am

Hi everyone  wave

I have a quick question about scanning photos. I did a search in the archives but couldn't find an answer that directly applies. Anyway, the question is:

Is it better to scan a photo, enlarge it right away (via the scanner settings) or is it better to scan the photo and enlarge it after using editing software. I would like to try to get the sharpest and as little grain as possible. My scanner is just a simple HP PSC 1510 (max res. 1200x1200 dpi and 48 bit color).

Any suggestions?

Thanks for all your replies in advance!
