Going To Dublin! Spotting Tips Needed

Thu Oct 20, 2005 10:10 am

A friend and I will be going to Dublin in a few weeks from now for a spotting trip. We bought some dirt cheap Ryanair tickets from EMA, hopefully flying the 737-200. Are they still around? We've never been spotting in Dublin before so we need a bit of help.

- Where are the best areas for photography at DUB?
We will not have transport so we need to rely on public transport eg bus or by walking.

- Does DUB have any designated viewing areas? if so is it any good?

- Is there a bus service that goes around the airport perimeter or to places near it?

- Where were these photos taken? And what kind of lenses will be required for the locations?

Not as such but the above shots were roughly taken at the threshold of 10/28 & 16/34

Nope. Best bet is a taxi but you can walk to that location, about 30 mins from the terminal.

70-200/300 will be more than adequate.

e-mail me and I will give you a more detailed description of the locations around Dublin.

Take care
