Motive Question (Inc Photo)..

Fri Oct 21, 2005 1:50 am

Howdy,

Will this be blown away for motive? I really like the photo with the sign, but does the sign distract to far from the aircraft?

Hi Lew.

I like the motive of the photo. I would argue that it is clear what your motive is here and, by definition, you need the sign in the photo.

But we all know how subjective these things can be here. For me, so long as the overall quality is not in any doubt, I think people should be encouraged to upload 'different' shots like this, otherwise there is a real danger of the database becoming stale in terms of the motives accepted.

I see a couple of issues with the plane itself that might be improved - a few jaggies noticeable on the nose and tail. I feel there's a very slight sense of motion blur in places (e.g. cabin windows) - hence the sharpening may be causing a bit of trouble to get just right. I think the quality might actually be more of an issue than the motive.

Hope this helps.

Take it easy.

I'd crop it landscape size with only the triangle sign showing. Gives less dead space.

Lew

I agree with Peter.

Try a landscape crop. Think that should work.
