You mean it got rejected for jagged or for soft?

No but it would be fine if there was the exact reason stated, as we don't have NOA_sharpness  Wink

I think it's a fantastic shot! But it looks very grainy around the back end.  Smile

I just wish I could get a shot like that!

Wow, nice shot!
I personally didn't see any jagged edges. Maybe try sharpening just the plane so the detail lines show a bit more? You definitely have to keep trying on this one.  Smile

It's soft, and overexposed. No reason for an 'exception'. Fix it, or appeal it. If you like it that much, i'd say fix it and re-upload it. It is way to soft for an appeal.

Chris

Nice image but needs some sharpening. Looks a little soft.

NOA stands for NOt Airliners.net material. The NOA will be changed very soon......watch your rejection messages!

heres what my email said:

"These photo(s) have a "soft" appearance. This does not mean they are
blurry or out of focus, but that they need an extra kick of sharpness."

and i said it got denied for sharpness meaning that it wasnt sharp enough, sorry bad communication there. ill sharpen it some more and hopefully itll make it through this time, as for it being over exposed id disagree with you there, its a little on the high side but not over.

Hi Martin,

Just like what Aitek said, I think it's probably the rejection reasons have been changed to be without 'NOA', because I just checked the reasons for all shots in my 'Rejected Photos' page, and found all reasons had no NOA any longer. If a shot has two or more reasons, there might be a space in between. E.g., one of my shot was given "Reject reason: personal angle".

I do not know if this is the final stage as Gary meant. However, at least this is what I observed!

I would, you filled the sky with grain. Why did you sharpen the whole picture, when just parts of the plane needed it?

I'm surprised it didn't get rejected "Bad Jaggy" - isn't it SUPPOSED to look like that!?  bigthumbsup

Use USM - not sharpening. If the sky begins to get too spotty, you can brush it out with a soften brush, or just go over the aircraft with a very mild sharpening brush.
