### Acceptance Ratio Calculation Question

Hi all;

Not sure if this is the right forum (if not, please move this thread).

So far this week I had four pictures accepted on Wednesday and one rejected this morning. On Monday morning, before the four accepted shots were screened or added to the DB, my acceptence ratio was "Accepted: 26 Rejected: 24" and as of the rejection yesterday it is "Accepted: 25 Rejected: 25"

It seems the acceptances weren't credited but the reject was. Am I missing something in the way the ratio is calculated or is this a glitch? Anyone else seeing this kind of thing?

Thanks for any help, cheers;

Mark.

### RE: Acceptance Ratio Calculation Question

The % is based on your last 50 uploads - so in your case that means the five oldest uploads were replaced with the five newest, then the % recalculated.

An illustration based on a limit of 10 uploads (O = accepted, X = rejected)

OOOXOOXXOO - acceptance ratio = 70%

You upload two more, and both are accepted

OOOOOXOOXX - acceptance ratio still 70% (your latest 2 acceptances simply replaced your two oldest shots, which just happened to be acceptances as well).

Now you upload two more that are accepted:

OOOOOOOXOO - acceptance ratio now 90%.

XXOOOOOOOX - ratio drops back to 70%.

Hope that explains it and doesn't confuse you.

### RE: Acceptance Ratio Calculation Question

I can never understand how a ratio can be expressed as a percentage.

Twenty-five rejections out of fifty submissions would be expressed as a ratio of 1:2, a percentage of the rejections compared to submissions would be 50%

If you'll excuse the pun, the acceptance ratio could be expressed better.

Have a good Christmas.
