Which One Or None Part II

Mon Dec 19, 2005 6:55 pm

Nightshots. Which one should I keep in the Q? They're baddoubles, right?

These are just thumbnails, nothing happens if you click on them.

Flying through the Netherlands. 0,3 sec handheld

Descending into a thin layer of cloud above the city of Helsinki. 0,8 sec handheld

Taxiing to stand. 0,8 sec handheld

My 7-year old likes the last one best, and so do I.

Difficult to judge without a bigger version, Peter.

Here you go Javier. I like your night action shot in the other thread. It's impossible to take a better photo in that light.

These aren't as sharp as daytime photos either. 8/10 of a second in a taxiing plane isn't the same as using a tripod in daylight. What I'm hoping for actually is, that a screener would write." by all means leave two of those in the Q, they're not bad doubles at all".

I think I would vote for 2 due to the window view and position of the pilots, although to my novice eye maybe a bit grainy, not sure if you can fix that.

Hey Peter,

No.1 is lovely with the upper panels, but the reflection in the right hand window caught my eye quite fast.

No. 2 is great, looks mysterious.

No. 3 is a great motive, but again the reflection is destracting, to me at least.

I'd go with number 2.
cheers,

I would say 2. 3 is good, but, 2 takes the cake. Almost looks like they are flying in MSFS in #2. Great Job.

Thanks guys,
Surely glass reflections won't cause a rejection unless you're shooting through glass. Windows reflect, especially when it's dark. There's no way to avoid that. And that's what the scene looked like live. Isn't that more significant?

No.2 is without a doubt a winner!!

The reflection in the F/O's sidewindow, in both 1 and 3, is rather distracting. Although they are nice pic's, all of them!  thumbsup
In thrust I trust.

Thanks everyone, I completely missed the window reflections. I'll upload a better version of photo No2, just above the cloudlevel.
I'll remove the rest from the queue before they get screened.
