Frontier/Southwest 733 Shot: Any Chance?

Fri Dec 23, 2005 9:48 am

Honest opinion. Should I submit this picture? To me it looks like a nice action shot of two planes at once. The lighting is definitely good. The horizon is fairly straight. But there's that damn sound fence in the foreground which I'm sure subtracts from the quality of an otherwise nice shot.

I find the whole image to be somewhat soft and quite grainy, sorry to say. Also, it seems a little overstaurated to me too. I don't think it will make it as is - perhaps a re-work from scratch would get a better result.

HTH;

Mark.
One day, I might be good at this...

You get that when scanning prints...  Yeah sure I doubt what you see is the finished product anyway.

It's a nice photo Matt, but as you mention, that fence will probably push it into the bad motive category even if some of the quality issues are addressed properly. That being said, you will never know unless you try. I would put the details in for the SW plane landing, and put remarks about the Frontier plane passing in the foreground.
