Advice On Quality Rejection?

Thu Dec 29, 2005 11:02 pm

Hey guys,

hate to tie up the photography forum with yet another rejection topic, but I'm looking for opinions on whether to appeal this shot, and if not, how to improve it as to bring it up to acceptable standards. Here's the shot:

As I said, it was rejected for quality. Might be due to grain or the slight distortion at the nose of the aircraft, which is inevitable given conditions of the shot. Any help would be very much appreciated!  yes

Regards,

Never tell your girlfriend about all the 'action' you're getting at the airport - only photogs understand that.

I really like that shot. The color and angle are great. The things that struck me as bad is that it is a little dark. Try using curves, if you have it, to kick it up a little. Also the heat from exhaust is making the right main gear blurred. I am not sure on where Anet stands on that sort of thing, but it drew my attention. Good luck with it.

I would defiantly appeal or rework the shot to get it in.

Hi Omar, as well as the above comments if you look at the underside of the airframe it looks quite jagged. The rest of the fuselage is a little soft. As part of the re-work selectively sharpen the main body and keep the jaggies from forming on the underside.

Good luck .. Jid
