How Do You Reduce The Megapixels

Sat Jan 07, 2006 2:42 pm

Hi

This will be a stup[id question for many, but...

I'm not a photographer but I tried to submit a photo onto A.NET yesterday and it said that my megapixel thing was too big. The picture was under 1MB, so how does one reduce the megapixel value?

Any help would be great

Thanks

You have to resize the image.
if its over 1600 wide it wont upload.
If the size is under 1mb and the file is bigger then 1600 wide you may have the quality very low set on your camera.
Cheers

If its under 1MB your fine for that part. Try resizing it to closer to 1024x768 or so (I wouldn't go any smaller than that, but not too much bigger either). That ussually works for me with the size thing.

Hi Nigel..

Basically people here we use photoshop (or Paint shop some of us). You can find a free trial copy in this link. Try to get used to one of these and follow the advises contained in the upload page here ( Photoshop workflows..), written by fellow fergul Mc Clean, a PDF file......
