Any Chance For Private, Prop, Dark X 2?

Tue Jan 17, 2006 7:34 am

Hi again,

Have struggled a bit with two Pipers from Nov 19th at dusk.
I enjoyed trying to catch them correctly framed with barely a little cropping, but You never get entrance to the glory of A-net for such a small deed.

From Raw/Nef I think I should be able to do better, though my telecombo @ 600 mm is 300 x 2 and not a prime lens.

Uploaded at 1200 since on my screen the long painted lined were less prone to jaggies that way.

I now wonder if there are still too many jaggies or on the contrary too much softness.

And what can bee done against the color shifting (grain? or noise?) in the reds of the first one?

How far are they from A-net standards, high as they shall be even for these smaller planes (the first one new to the db and the other one represented by 2 photos)?

Thanks for any good advice
Frippe

Hi again, I think I have approved the consistency of the red in the long stripes along the first upper plane

(The first version I had to remove)
And I have sharpened first everything in one sweep 500% 0.2 0.0 and then a second time at 75% and same other settings.

Will it make the cut do You think, at least with some help from not being yet in db?
Thanks,
Frippe
