Help On A Quality Rejection!

Thu Feb 09, 2006 8:11 am

Hi,

Just now I got a rejection, linked below. Reason is quality.

http://www.airliners.net/addphotos/r...0060208_C_FFYM_hhuo8472_060128.jpg

Screener who was screening this shot dropped a message to me - "poor detail on main wheels". Could anyone give me some suggestions about how to further improve this shot, especially for the main wheels?

Thanks in advance,

Looks pretty good to me, but perhaps there was some lightening of the area around the main gear? Can't really tell, my eyes are tired Smile

Hongyin,

There's some blurring/fringing around the main gear tyres. Unusual, because the rest of the aircraft is really nice and sharp. You might be able to pull a bit more detail out with very careful use of the dodge tool.

They shoot people for that.
It takes a big man to admit they are wrong, and I am not a big man.

Clearly bad quality. The serial number identiplates on the nose landing gear strut are a bit soft, and unreadable.

Keep trying though!

Seriously - great shot, I'd appeal that sucker. There should be some kind of message generated to a screener when one of his rejections is accepted in the appeal process. I wonder if that would get our point across.

Thank you all for your comments! I will carefully consider what I should do for this shot.  Smile

Appeal failure will consume my acceptance ratio by 2% more. I have been aware of another thread currently in this forum, talking about acceptance ratio. I feel embarrassed to even see myself one.  embarrassed

Thanks again!

I'd be more inclined to think that was heat dispertion from the engines causing that effect. Just my 2c

I personally would kill the jaggies on the following:

1. Rear stabiliser.
2. "Air Canada" on the front.
3. The doors - top of front and rear.
4. Leading edge of wing.

Then re-upload. Then it SHOULD be accepted. But then again...

That one should definitely be accepted - we only have one other shot of this aircraft in the database! Appeal, it's an immediate acceptance. The screener must have made a mistake rejecting.
