Is This Crop OK?

Wed Feb 22, 2006 6:45 am

Hi,

I am not quite sure about the crop of one of my shots currently in the waiting queue.

http://www.airliners.net/addphotos/b...g/ready/C_GKOC_hhuo0124_060217.jpg

I left more room at the right side of this photo, just because of that Beech lifting off from the parallel runway. I don't know if this could result in a distance or center rejection.

Of course, I could chop it a bit tight. But that would make that Beech in half of this frame, which looks more weird, in my opinion.

So, I put up this thread, and hope to see your comments on it!

Thanks in advance!

It's fine. I guess it would have been bad centered if it wasn't for that Beech behind.

Looks great - it might be just a HAIR soft, but it *should* be acceptable!

Great shot!
I'd rather shoot BAD_MOTIVE

Nice photo Bubbles. It looks acceptable like the others have said already. When cutting off the Beech the photo will indeed look more weird, like you said.

Thank you, Drew! I am hesitating to give more sharpening to my recent photos, because I have a bad habit of oversharpening shots that has caused some rejections these days. Sad

Hi,

You could, on the other hand, give a little more breathing room at the left of the plane, thus centering it and compensating for the fact that the other side is occupied by the beech.

But, as many have said, it works this way, and if it does, why change it. Just if you like to keep things symmetrical.

Thank you so much, friends!  Smile

I leave this photo in the queue now. And I will update this thread as long as this shot got accepted later (As I uploaded it today, the result may show up two weeks later or so).

Thanks again!
