Spotting Locations At INN

Tue Mar 14, 2006 11:47 pm

Hi. I am going to be visiting Austria next week and am planning to take in a trip to Innsbruck, mainly to see the airport . Does anyone know of any popular spotting/photography locations in or around Innsbruck Airport?

This would be Florian's turf. I would shoot him an instant message or email. If you have seen his work you would know. His shots at INN are amazing. I hope to visit Austria soon myself. It looks so beautiful.

Here is an example of Flo's stuff.

Thank you for your help.  Smile

Hm would be my turf you say?  Smile

Hey Richard... There are quite some websites providing info about photography at INN. In general it's easy down here, an excellent terrace and all spots around the perimeter to reach by foot.

Sites you might want to visit are:

http://fly.to/innsbruck it's an enthusiast's website

and also

http://www.spotterswiki.com search for Innsbruck

The Spotterswiki site isn't complete yet, but still worth visiting.
If you have any questions, don't hesitate to ask.

cheers,
F.

There is a great ob deck that is up the stairs from the main hall. You go up the stairs and follow signs to toilets and just walk past the toilets and out onto the deck.

There is also some fields at the end of the runway which are good for photos. MY knowledge is that you come out of the terminal and go to your right and walk down that way hugging the perimeter fence until you get to a good spot. Flo will be able to confirm this for you!

Here are some shots a friend of mine got uploaded from the ob deck when we were there last month.
