How Is This Bad Motive?

Both these pictures got rejected for bad motive. What is the bad motive here

Brian,

Looks to me like the crop is "off" and not very pleasing. Looks like half to three quarters of an airplane (which it is!) to me. Try cropping just behind the front of the engine or in this general area, I think you'll still be able to see the reflection, and this will be a more pleasing crop of the photo.

Ill have to agree with Matt. It seems the motive "problem" is the crop. Great shots though!

The bad motive on the first could be because the wing is cut off. The second one, its good, but not really showing anything of interest, ie no interesting sticker, damage, etc.

I doubt that these would have made it into the database anyway as the quality is lacking a bit on each.

Nice shots though.
