Too Graphic A Photo?

Wed Apr 19, 2006 9:29 pm

Hi

having a merely "non aviation photography" background I tend to see things few people see in photography. Now I wonder if this photo is to graphic or geometrical, or in a way to sterile for a.net?

Thanks for your opinion

A very unusual composition that is slightly spoiled for me by the missing tail-cone, Included it might just have brought the tailplanes onto the top corners which would have made this strong, symmetrical composition even stronger.
I have not got a clue what the screeners would make of it though.

Interesting perspective.

Can't comment on technical quality without seeing the full-size image.

Mario, great shot !! I personally tend to appreciate this kind of approach insome cases : it lets you see things ina different way and for this is much more original. I do not think yours could be part of the A.net database, but must repeat the yours is really a great, great shot. I have tons like this at home trying uncover a differents spot on a plane, or a different view on it. Keep this good work going.

I like it, but I can see the 'motive' rejection in it

I really like this shot! It's definitely worth a try, and it attracts my eye quite a bit!

Thanks to everyone for their comments ... its still in the queu, so we'll see what the screeners opinion is on such kind of photo or if there preference is more on everyday shots.

Thats all my 17-35mm 2.8 lens allowed, However, I imagine such a photo to be little more boring that the one above as it suffers that incostistency from "cut off fuselage and full (not cut off) tail" So everything is cut off and that's where the balance rests (IMHO)

One of those shots that could get anything from bad motive to top of the day. I wouldn't bet on the latter but you never know! Anyway I'd leave it in.
