Why Is This Motiv?

Sat Apr 29, 2006 4:21 pm

I had this rejected for motiv the other day.

http://www.airliners.net/addphotos/r...s/big/20060426_tcoaconurengine.jpg

Nothing too special but why it doesn't meet the motiv of A.net?

Thanks,
Vatche

Could it be because it's a pic of an engine with the inspection panels open...but you can't actually see the engine detail from this angle ?

Just a stab in the dark really but I would find it rather more interesting to actually see the internals. Out of interest, what category did you submit the pic under ?

The wonderful people at MASCO (www.masco.com.lb) sometimes give me access to their facilities and they always have aircraft in different checks and this was in for a paint and a C check.

Hi Vatche...

I think the background kills the photo... Too many tripods, stairs disturbing the global photo..

Cheers

Isn't that kind of the point of the photo as the aircraft is undergoing maintenance?

Sometimes a single ladder ruins a photo... Sorry no to show any example but this forum is plenty of them...

The environment is such that you will always have different objects in the background, but these are not blocking the view of the engine in any way.
Examples could be photos taken in museums with other objects in the background, hundreds are found here on A.net.
The top of yesterday was from Beoing's plant and there are many other examples as well.

I have more than a few photos like this, some dating back 2 years but I hardly upload any simply because I'm not into such subjects a lot.

I like to know if I should give these another try or not.

Regards.
