Greek Seaplane Bases

Sun May 07, 2006 8:14 am

Hi all,

I am about to upload a few pictures shot at AirSea Lines' seaplane bases at Corfu and Paxos Islands, Greece, and although I don't expect rejections over it, I would like to get the location data straight.

The required format is city name - airport name and then 'Seaplane', but I'm not sure how to work this out, and I hope the crew can tell me.

In Corfu, the base is referred to as the marina in the town of Gouvia.

So, 'Gouvia - Marina Seaplane'? And 'Corfu' should be left out I think.

In Paxos, the 'base' is just a piece of quay in the New Port in the town of Gaios, although one sign calls it the Paxos Seaplane Station I believe.

So,
'Gaios - Paxos Seaplane Station'?
'Gaios - Paxos Seaplane'?
'Gaios - Seaplane'?

Also, are there ICAO codes for these places?

Thanks in advance,

Peter

I do not think that the bases have formal names or ICAO codes. I wasn't even aware that they had special bases, I assumed they were using existing docks or seaports.

Lewis,

That is true, the question is just, how do I upload them.
