Corsair At CUR, Need Help

Sat May 20, 2006 10:58 am

Hi,

I was wondering. Corsair arrived in CUR today for a military charterflight. I heard the aircraft will depart tomorrow morning from CUR heading to BHX. Can anyone verify this flight so I won't be going to the airport for nothing? I would like to see this aircraft depart CUR but was wondering if more information is available. Anyone here who has insight in BHX aircraft movements for tomorrow (Saturday)?

Thanks,

Hey I don't know if it might help, but we had 3 (or 4?) 747 of corsair here at CDG during the soccer game. I don't know if they were flying fans or preparing for your flights. Never saw them at CDG as they usually fly to Orly.
Life starts at take-off!

Hi,

I went to the airport this morning and saw the Corsair 744 still being re-feuled. I took photos of it taking off  Smile

2 Corsair 747's landed at BHX this morning carrying a load of rugby fans from Ireland.

For the afternoons rugby game at Cardiff. Both landed just before 0900.

From what i heard the 743 is staying all day and parked up.
The 744 came in unloaded then poistioned out back to Paris for another longhaul latter in the day.

Another 744 is due in to BHX 2nite to collect the fans again.

Then both will then depart to Ireland late 2nite.

Both of these big birds this morning made for some great pics with the weax conditions of sunshine and showers.

Hope this helps

Quoting Stu1978 (Reply 3):

I think this is the 744 that departed CUR today, as the flight departed at 09:00 LT CUR time and the flying time is about 9 hours I think this aircraft will arrive in BHX around 0:00 LT in BHX. This aircraft carried soldiers to CUR yesterday and apparently will carry fans from BHX. So in total 3-4 Corsair 747s were in BHX today? Cool  Smile

Here are my photos I have in the qeue for screening:

As I said, the photos were taken at 09:00 LT in CUR.

Hi LGA777,

Thanks for the comments. The new terminal in CUR is now scheduled to open in July instead of June. I hope we will get more aircraft movement in a few years  Smile It depends on the tourism which is slowly increasing.
