Would You Buy A NIkon D50/70 From This Seller?

Thu Jun 01, 2006 10:01 pm

For a couple of months, I have been planning to buy a D50 or D70 and now I have found an ebay seller based in Taiwan who is selling both cameras at incredibly low prices.

Would you buy from him? Somehow I have a feeling that he might not deliver anything, or at least not what I expect.

The link to one of his auctions is:
http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/NIKON-D70S-SLR...categoryZ31388QQrdZ1QQcmdZViewItem

PS: Dear airliners.net team: I am only posting this message because I am really looking for help from the a.net members. This topic does not have the purpose to make free PR for the seller.

Keep your hands off this guy! Would never buy ! Check his ratings, only 10 ratings sofar from again very dubious origins, all done on the 31st of May?
This guy is 100% cheating!

The trick to successful buying on Ebay or any internet venue is to know your seller. This seller has very little experience and his feedback reflects this. If it seems to good to be true...it is! Keep looking!

 checkmark

100% agree!

249£ for the camera body alone would already be quite low but combined with 2 lenses it's very dubious.
And as Robin alreay mentionned, the sellers's ratings are very suspicious too since they were not only all posted within 1 hour but they also link to items that don't exist.
If you like your money you shouldn't throw it into this buddie's throat.  bigmouth

This guy is probably a case for the Ebay "police".

I would stay away from this guy. As mentioned above, the ratings are all within one hour of each other, and also look at the usernames on the commenters, they are all just totally random numbers and letters. They also are all written pretty much the same way, so I would guess this guy is cheating.
