Changing Comments In The Queue

Sat Jun 03, 2006 12:52 am

I'm sure this is an old topic but I can't find it by using the search function. I would like to change comments on a photo that's currently in the queue. Possible?

Delete it from the queue ( www.airliners.net/myphotos/ ) and upload again.

OK, thanks for the info. I do wish a.net could allow this do be done. The competition has this feature. They also have one I love called "Yesterday's Photo Views" that I wish a.net would adopt.

Been asking for this sort of thing for a while but no one wants to come to the party .
Corrections would be easier to make and sometimes people do realise that a mistake has been made to the info and want to correct it but they dont want to pull the shot from the Q.
SO what happens at times they leave the shot in hopping no one notices and Anet has 1 extra shot with wrong info on it.
Why cant we implement this option to correct or change comment on our uploads.

It would be a nice feature to have I agree. I know some of you will say "Get the info right the first time". It's just that mistakes sometimes do happen and at the rate the queue moves, its a pain to pull/resubmit a shot.

Agree with both you chaps...a great feature that I wish could be implemented. Too bad the only option once a photo has been uploaded is "Delete photo from queue..." This especially hurts when a photo has been in the queue for eight, nine, ten days...and then if you pull it, you start from square one again. And yes Danny, many will say get it right the first time, and most often we do, but on those occasions that we don't, it sure would be a nice to have a bit of a "safety net."

Cheers,

This is the 4th time this has been asked and still nothing. I doubt that anything will come of it now, as handy it would be.

This is sad state if contributors to the site ask for something and its not even considered i have put some IMO good ideas forward but i never hear back from people who can get things done around here.
Cheers

I ditto the request and further add that I think the quality of my comments would be significantly enhanced by allowing me to modify them after uploading. It's tough to type meaningful comments while uploading 15-20 shots, but after mulling over a shot for a week or so inspiration sometimes hits...

Wouldn't it make sense to improve the comments once a photo has been accepted? If I uploaded 15-20 shots, spent some time on the comments while they were in the queue, then some were rejected I'd think it was a waste of time - and probably wouldn't do the same again... Just my opinion  Wink
