Blue Angels At Leeuwarden (Netherlands)

Wed Jun 14, 2006 7:54 am

Hi All,

For some photographers/enthousiasts that might not have heard it yet: The Blue Angels have arrived (last Monday) at Leeuwarden (The Netherlands). Airshow is scheduled for Friday and Saturday. This might be their only show in Europe this year! So, if you don't have the time (or  dollarsign ...) to travel to the US and/or Canada, this might be the last chance to see the blue F/A-18 's at work for a long time (their previous tour in Europe was in 1992...).

Best regards,

Walter

Yes Viv, it's the Dutch AF's yearly public Open Days. Entrance is even free.

Hi Viv,

These were the conditions last Monday, on the arrival day of the Blue Angels:

I will add some more later, I am at work right now...

PS: I have read in other forums (i.e. Scramble) that "Fat Albert" will only do the "JATO"-take-off during the Saturday...

Best regards,

Walter

It won't be flying during the Show Kas but on static display together with the F27 PH-FHF.

That's ok. As long as I can take a few pics of it I'm happy, regardless of the fact if it's flying or not Big grin
