Wed Jun 28, 2006 2:41 pm

I have this picture of the CDSS monitor rejected for motiv.

Just wonder, why is it not acceptable? How about pictures of landing gears and individual engines? Those seems to be acceptable here.

If I am to post picture of the wheel well bay, will it be acceptable?

I don't want to sound mean or arrogant here but for all I or others know, that monitor could be on a boat.

Engines, landing gears yes as they are easily identified.

Just my thoughts

These are certainly considered to be motiv. Furthermore, this one could be borderline people given the person on the monitor.

Wheels and engines are typically borderline. They taken on the merit, context and quality of the shot, but the acceptance rate is very low.

The engines and gear accepted are typically where there is action or something unusual. In addition, the acceptance shows that we consider the motive to be valid for that particular shot.

Context and therefore motive of the above shot is suspect. Sure.. it's aviation, but it is somewhat of a random portion of the plane. It is clearly rejectable for motive.

Your photo(s) showed people in a way so that they can be recognised.

We do not accept photos with people on them whose faces are clearly visible, either from the front or from the side. This even applies to photos of people whom you may know personally and who have given you permission to upload the photo. The only exceptions to this rule are people of common interest, like for example Sir Richard Branson or Michael O'Leary, or if pilots are visible in general aviation aircraft

The shot does not suggest "Aviation" to me.

But then I'm prejudiced - I don't find cabin shots interesting either.
