San Sebastian Overview - Bad Fence?

Fri Jun 30, 2006 6:24 pm

A question.

I have what I feel is a very nice, atmospheric airport overview in the queue of the little photographed San Sebastian airport. I was there for 2 days recently, and the weather was really crap, however, I managed to squeeze what I feel is a nice view of the airport apron, terminal and the mountain behind it, giving a feel of what the surrounds are like.

However, I waited for there to be an interesting a/c parked on the apron, one of the 2 jet operated flights into the airport. It gives nice scale to the shot, but unfortunately there is a fence in the way, which borders the airport, albeit, it's not so large in the photo.

Now I could have taken the shot without the aircraft there, in which case the fence would not be an issue. The question is, is it going to get rejected due to the fence? IMHO, the aircraft isn't the main subject of the photo.

Feedback is greatly appreciated, especially from screeners.

The way you have shot it suggests that the aircraft is not the main focal point, therefore i think that the fence doesnt matter cause its an airport overview. To me the photo lacks a bit of contrast.

Andy,

I don't think the fence will be a problem, and the picture is certainly improved by the presence of the Airbus, but I'm afraid it may be rejected for too little airport, too much mountain.

Quoting Ptrjong (Reply 2):
too little airport, too much mountain.

That may also be a problem. The mountain is overpowering the airport and my eyes keep going to the mountain.
